SoundTick compatibility

Check your SoundTouch setup before you subscribe.

SoundTick is designed for compatible Bose SoundTouch speakers that your iPhone or Android device can reach on the same secure private Wi-Fi network.

Start with these essentials

A quick compatibility check.

01

Same private Wi-Fi

Your phone and speaker must be connected to the same secure private network.

02

Local-network access

Allow SoundTick to find and communicate with devices on your local network.

03

Reachable SoundTouch speaker

The speaker must be powered on, connected and visible on the network.

Speaker discovery

Automatic scan first. Manual address when needed.

SoundTick can scan the local network for compatible speakers. If a router blocks automatic discovery, you can add a speaker using its current local IP address from your router or the official SoundTouch app.

Automatic discovery

Keep SoundTick open during the first scan and allow the local-network permission prompt.

Manual discovery

Enter the speaker's local IP address when multicast discovery is restricted by the network.

What can vary

Compatibility depends on the complete setup.

SoundTouch model, firmware, router configuration, guest-network isolation, VPN use, permissions and current speaker state can affect discovery, grouping and which controls are available.

  • Radio search and direct station playback
  • Playback and per-speaker volume controls
  • Saved favourites, recently played stations and virtual presets
  • Compatible speaker grouping
  • Custom stream URL playback

No unsupported model promise

SoundTick does not guarantee every feature on every SoundTouch model, firmware or network. The 60-day complimentary period lets you confirm your own setup before subscribing.

Keep good speakers playing

Use the complimentary period to test your setup.

Install SoundTick, find your speaker and confirm the controls you need before choosing a subscription.
