Direct answer
What you need to know
If one internet-radio station will not play, try a second known station first because individual streams can move, expire or reject playback. If several stations fail, confirm the selected SoundTouch speaker is online, refresh discovery, and then retry on the same private Wi-Fi.
Separate a station problem from a speaker problem.
Try another station
A single failure usually points to a moved, offline, restricted or incompatible stream rather than the speaker connection.
Confirm the selected speaker
Check that SoundTick shows the intended speaker as reachable and that ordinary playback or volume commands still respond.
Refresh and retry
Refresh speaker discovery and station search, select the speaker again, then retry the station once.
Understand why individual streams stop working.
- The broadcaster changed its stream URL or format.
- The station is temporarily offline or limiting listeners by region.
- A playlist redirects to a stream the speaker cannot reach.
- The station now requires authentication or browser-only playback.
- The stream uses a codec or transport the current speaker path does not support.
SoundTick cannot guarantee third-party stations.
Radio directories and broadcasters control their own URLs, availability, formats and geographic terms. A listing can remain visible after its underlying stream changes.
When several stations fail, check the complete local path.
- Phone and speaker remain on the same secure private Wi-Fi
- The speaker is powered on and reachable in SoundTick
- VPN, guest isolation or router filtering is not separating devices
- Another supported speaker command succeeds
- The phone and speaker can reach the internet where the station requires it
Report a repeatable failure without sharing secrets.
Record the station name, the approximate time, whether other stations played, the selected speaker model, and the exact visible error. Use SoundTick's diagnostic option only when useful and review the generated material before sending it.
Never send router credentials, passwords, full purchase receipts or private stream credentials.
Sources and boundaries
Evidence used for this guidance.
Product instructions describe SoundTick's intended behavior. External claims are linked to their primary source. Actual compatibility still depends on the speaker, firmware, phone permissions and network being tested.
