SoundTick is designed for Bose SoundTouch speakers that remain reachable through compatible local controls on the same private Wi-Fi as the phone. A model name alone cannot guarantee every feature because firmware, router behavior, permissions and current speaker state also affect discovery, playback and grouping.
A compatible setup needs all of these conditions.
- A Bose SoundTouch speaker that is powered on and connected to the local network
- A phone running the current supported SoundTick release
- Both devices reachable on the same secure private Wi-Fi
- Local-network permission granted to SoundTick
- Compatible local speaker endpoints for the requested control
- A router that does not isolate the phone from the speaker
Features can differ even between speakers with the same product name.
Firmware state, prior setup, source availability, network segmentation and speaker status can change what the app can discover or control. Grouping also depends on the capabilities and state of every speaker involved.
For that reason, Zenari does not publish an unsupported promise that every SoundTouch model, firmware or router supports every SoundTick function.

Run automatic discovery, then test the current local IP address if multicast scanning is restricted.
Test essential controls
Confirm speaker selection, playback state and volume before testing optional features.
Test radio playback
Play more than one station so a single unavailable stream is not mistaken for incompatibility.
Test grouping separately
If you use multiple rooms, verify the exact speaker combination and per-speaker controls you need.
Use complimentary access as the acceptance test.
The 60-day period starts without a payment card or automatic subscription, giving you time to validate the complete setup before choosing paid access.
