1. Who this policy covers
SoundTick is provided by Zenari. In this policy, “SoundTick”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Zenari and the SoundTick application and website. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to zenari.dev@gmail.com.
SoundTick does not require you to create a SoundTick account and the website does not provide accounts, analytics, advertising, a contact form or a newsletter.
2. Local speaker and network information
SoundTick discovers and controls supported speakers that are reachable on the same private network as your phone. To do this, the app may use speaker names, local IP addresses, MAC addresses or other identifiers exposed by a speaker, model or type information, capabilities, sources, presets, playback state, volume and local reachability.
Everyday discovery and speaker commands are exchanged directly on your local network. Supported speaker protocols may use unencrypted HTTP within that network. Use SoundTick only on a private network you trust and keep your phone, router and speaker firmware protected.
3. Information stored on your device
SoundTick may store the following information locally so the app works as expected:
- Selected, favourite and recently used speakers.
- Favourite, recent and last-played stations and search history.
- Virtual preset assignments, speaker groups, scenes and local music settings.
- Per-speaker volume, cached settings and discovery results.
- Theme, onboarding, reconnect, resume and other app preferences.
- Complimentary-access and subscription status needed to decide which app experience to show.
Depending on the platform, verified access information may be stored using secure device storage. SoundTick does not use that record as a SoundTick profile or advertising identity.
4. Complimentary access and subscriptions
SoundTick uses Apple or Google platform services and RevenueCat to present available subscriptions, validate purchases, restore access and provide subscription-management links. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier, purchase and subscription history, entitlement status and transaction timing for app functionality, fraud prevention and subscription analytics.
The applicable app store processes payments under its own privacy terms. Zenari does not receive or store your full payment-card details. A verified acquisition date or other platform information may be used to establish and protect the 60-day complimentary-access period. Where SoundTick receives a transaction identifier for local verification, it stores only a cryptographic hash rather than the raw identifier.
5. On-device diagnostics
SoundTick keeps a rolling technical log on your device to help explain discovery, playback and control problems. The rolling log is limited to the most recent 300 technical events. SoundTick does not automatically upload that log to Zenari.
A diagnostic report that you choose to create may contain:
- SoundTick version, build and package details.
- Phone platform, operating-system version, model, manufacturer or brand.
- Visible and selected speaker details and local reachability checks.
- Responses from local speaker information, source, volume, preset and now-playing endpoints.
- Recent technical actions, visible status, speaker status, search text, volume and virtual-preset assignments.
- Problem descriptions you enter and an app screenshot only when you choose to include one.
6. Diagnostic redaction and sharing
Before a report is assembled, SoundTick redacts detected email addresses and values in account-like fields. This is a focused safeguard, not a guarantee that every identifying detail will be removed. Local IP addresses, speaker identifiers, speaker names, network context, user-entered text and visible screenshot content may remain because they can be important to troubleshooting.
A report leaves your device only after you create it and choose a destination in your phone's share sheet. Review the recipient, report and any optional screenshot before sending. The recipient and sharing service you choose will process the report under their own terms.
7. Website information
The SoundTick website does not set advertising cookies, run analytics, collect form submissions or require an account. The site is hosted by Vercel, which may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or device headers, requested pages, timestamps and security logs to deliver and protect the website under its own privacy terms.
8. How information is used and shared
SoundTick uses information only as reasonably needed to:
- Discover, display and control supported speakers.
- Play stations and maintain favourites, presets, groups and preferences.
- Provide complimentary or paid access and restore purchases.
- Create support material that you explicitly request.
- Maintain security, reliability, legal compliance and these terms.
SoundTick does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Vercel, radio or stream providers, and email or sharing services when their service is needed for an action you take. A radio provider will ordinarily receive the network request needed to deliver its stream. We may also disclose information when lawfully required or necessary to protect users, Zenari or the service.
9. Retention and deletion
Local preferences and speaker information remain on your device until you reset the relevant feature, clear app storage or remove the app, subject to platform backup behaviour. Secure access records may follow different platform-storage rules. Diagnostic archives are created in temporary device storage and remain there until the operating system, app or user removes them.
Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Vercel and any sharing or radio service set their own retention periods. Support emails and reports voluntarily sent to Zenari are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate recurring problems, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified where practical.
10. Your choices and requests
You can decline local-network or notification permissions, although affected features may not work. You can choose not to create or share diagnostics, remove local app data through device settings, and manage subscriptions through the store used for purchase. Because SoundTick has no SoundTick account, there is no SoundTick account to delete.
To request access, correction or deletion of information held directly by Zenari—for example, a support email you sent—contact zenari.dev@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
11. Security, children and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no device, network, transmission or storage method is completely secure. Protect access to your phone, email, home network and speakers.
SoundTick is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to digital services where they live. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the website. A parent or guardian can contact us if they believe a child has provided information.
Third-party store, subscription, hosting, radio, email and sharing services may process information in countries other than yours under their own safeguards and applicable law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when SoundTick, its providers or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and may provide an additional notice in the app or website when a change is material.
